Dad died with no will and as executor, I'm being tasked with closing out the estate. We already inherited the big coins through mainstream investment brokerages. We plan to keep those. But my dad left dozens of smaller coins across several crypto brokerages and wallets. Individually, there isn't a lot of each coin but they sum out to enough to factor.
Is there anything we should keep in mind for this process? What is the most efficient way to do this? We already accounted for their value at date of death into the estate fees. I assume we will need to pay taxes on the realized gains.
Any help is appreciated.
