Weex Platform

Is Weex a legit platform with flaws or is it a scam?

For the purposes of this discussion, I have a friend that invested in Bitcoin on Weex. They are now trying to withdrawal funds, but they're being told that they have to deposit more to reach some sort of a minimum prior to being able to withdrawal. The amounts are 100K+.

This is obviously a scam tactic, but I don't know if they are interacting through the true platform (which may or may not be legit) or maybe they're on some sort of imposter site. They are convinced that it's not a scam and I'm trying to find some relevant information to prove otherwise other than my own statement of "trust me, it's a scam".

Does anyone have a relevant article or documented complaint that I can use to convince them?
